When I was a teenager, I always felt like I should lose 5-10 pounds, even if I had already lost it once or even twice. My set weight was about 124, and I'm 5'7". So, that's about the same ratio of your weight to height. I would lose down to 115, and still not be happy. And then I'd lose to 110, and still not be happy. And then I'd lose to 105... and at that point something actually clicked in my brain and I thought, "Oh, my gosh! I can see all of my ribs!" And so I had to force myself to stop worrying about it. I never starved myself or went on a diet or made myself throw up or anything, but if I had been obsessive about it, I very well could have. (The weight loss happened gradually. I just stayed away from unhealthy foods. I just lose weight easily.) You have to be careful not to get into a cycle, because it took a good two years or so for me to realize that no matter how skinny I got, I'd still feel like I had flab everywhere. Your weight is absolutely fine. Don't listen to the previous answerers who told you that you are fat. They're jealous or just idiots. Please stop worrying about it, and don't let your self-image rely on how many of your ribs you can see. It's a type of brainwashing that all girls get now from very early in life. It's up to us to determine our self-worth based on true value, and not superficial nonsense that has been piped into us since we could choke on it. It is truly not cute and not attractive at all to see every bone in your body! Trust me! I've been there! If you can't stop obsessing about it, talk to your mother or another trusted adult (preferrably female) who can talk you through it. Or email me. I'll open my profile to emails for the next week. :o) Hope this helped! Be proud of who you are!!!

HOney...I'm 5'2" and I weigh 131. First of all muscle ways more than fat. Second of all.Is your reason for losing weight for athletic or health reasons, or social reasons? I think your weight is fine. If your really concerned ask a doctor. Also what kind of bone structure do you have? Some people just sren't small boned sometimes their ribcage or hipbones are bigger in proportion. Also you could try a BMI. There not completly accurae but they give an estimate.

That's a perfect weight! If you go by the books for every inch over 5 feet you are, add 5 pounds (starting at 100lbs at 5ft tall). So you're where you should be at. Now thats what the pros say, if you ask ME I'd say gain weight! Psh, you're not a fatty! :)

Babe, don't listen to Parker D! That is a good weight! I am 5'2 and weigh 121 LBS... I feel fine with my body.... Don't worry! The media and schoolmates have hurt me SOOO bad and have made em cry myself to sleep at night, but you HAVE to let it roll off your shoulders. Don't let anyone tell you you're not beautiful because EVERYONE is in there OWN way.

That's actually in the ideal range, you certainly don't need to loose a thing!
And ignore Parker D's answer. If you check his profile, you'll see he never has anything nice (or worthwhile) to say, and the number of thumbs down he's got means that no one agrees with him anyway..

Your body is still growing... No you do not need to loose weight... Eat healthy foods, and splurge occasionally, and exercise regularly, and you will be healthy and look good, too.
Do not "diet." This in the long-run adds to weight gain.

You don't need to lose any
When I was your age I was 5 foot and 120 pounds
Girls think that skinny is cool but it's not, and it's not beautiful to see bones everywhere..
