I believe my friend it has something to do with uncertainty. When one is apt to being so certain with their significant other that there is no longer any 'uncertainty', the individual, needing uncertainty, does not feel they can create it with their partner & can therefore create it by 'looking else where'.

It sounds like you are putting all men into one category. Not all men cheat. I don't and never have. There are a lot of men that don't cheat. There are lots of them out there if you know what to look for.
