I'm trying to avoid actually painting some lines on my walls.... I thought I could put up tape instead...

the only painter's tape I've ever seen was blue or lime green. leaving it on for a long time is horrible it doesn't come off very well at all it dries out and falls apart. yes they do have colored duct tape, you can try to find it at auto parts stores. duct tape may destroy wall when you try to remove it or leave a sticky gooey residue. good luck

Black Painters Tape

Painter's tape will not work for a long-term application. It is designed to come off easily and will fall off on its own over a period of time. Never seen black, anyway.

Perhaps you could coat some black ribbon with spray adhesive and use it?

Painters tape is blue. But if you want black then buy elictrical tape.

How about black duct tape? Gorilla brand will stick VERY well, lol

Not really sure but you can find a lot of different colors at craft stores like hobby lobby and michaels..
