I used to like Obama until I started reading about him. He has a muslim background and has embraced his muslim father. How far does this go? I don't know, but the more I read, the more uneasy I get about him. Below is a post about him. You can find links to others by searching the net for Barak Obama. Whoever you vote for, make sure you learn as much as you can about him or her. As for myself, I would not be surprised if Arabic/Muslim companies were awarded large contracts. Remember about a year ago the contract controlling a majpr eastern port was going to be awarded to an Arab company based in DuBai? Funny how that news story just faded away. Check out the second link. Shows Bush standing behind the contract for not just 1 port, but 6.

Start the withdrawal of Iraq, or at least stop sending more troops. Remove the veil of secrecy that Bush has placed over the Executive Branch. Work toward repealing the PATRIOT act. Let the world know that the US will now be led by a President that will actually work with other countries, and not go off on his own.

There'd be alot of talking. We would engage in dialogue with all countries, he would go on a world-wide tour to try to salvage relationships with old allies and new allies and even enemies.

The tongue is a powerful thing...when used for peace, it can save lives by bringing governments together.

Mr. Obama has an amazing gift to inspire others to greatness. I see the courage of MLK and the strength of FDR and the wisdom of Jefferson, Washington, and Lincoln all wrapped-up in this amazing person, this man who hopefully will win the next presidency, if not the one after the next...it is time for calm and peaceful talk, not blustery threats and bombs.

Just my own humble opinion...

Hopefully, some Republicans will go to jail, but I know he will just bring some intelligence and respect back to the White House. It will probably take his entire term to fix the damage the previous administration did to this country and the world.

A lot of mean spirited right wingers would start to look silly. Mind you - any successes he had they would say he inherited from Bush.
