Let’s examine some clues to the Bush administration’s underlying intention in Iraq. The Bush administration, having put together the Governing Council of Iraq, which had resisted their effort to install Ahmad Chalabi as the country’s sole head, had to agree to Chalabi sharing leadership with others who supposedly represented major Iraqi groups. Ahmad Chalabi, the Bush administration’s candidate is a banker who lived the past 45 years outside Iraq. He has publicly declared his commitment to privatize Iraqi state-owned oil wells.
By the way, why did you delete your last question.....I thought it was a good question.

I asked the same thing just last night. The Bush supporter trolls told me I was crazy as a loon. You know thats about the only thing that this dictator hasn't done...yet is declaring Martial Law and throwing american citizens in FEMA prisons. If this thing goes much farther I can see the Whitehouse being took over with a swat team to get them out before that happens. Bush is very intelligent they have been ahead of congress and the people all the way. I think it was a brilliant plan put together by some very sly people. Nancy Pelosi should move forward with impeachment proceedings right now. I am happy with the job congress is doing so far. I think they bought time and safety for the troops while they moved forward with their investigation as it appears this will be the only way to end the war.

I think you're being melodramatic and trying to start a fight. It would have taken a conspiracy on too many levels of his administration for him to have done this intentionally. Even if he could do what you're talking about, how would it benefit him to do so? The adminstration has made several mistakes regarding foreign policy but the infrastucture that makes America a great country is still very much in tact. That is why dissatisfied voters were able to ouste so many leaders and turn the house and senate from a republican to a democratic majority. That is also why our economy is still thriving in the face of these very trying times. You may not think he is a good president (and as an American it's your right to say so) but he is by no means comparable to one of the most evil dictators in history. This is still a democracy and I can't think of anywhere else on the planet I would rather live. This is not Nazi Germany and you should choose your words more carefully. These are very complicated and troubling times, but this is still a great country. Use your anger to do something positive instead of coming up with dumb conspiracy theories that help fuel ignorance.

sorry Lori K, but this is a real question. bush started this war for several reasons, wars help the economy, look at how good it is! other countries have problems, but no reason to give so much help, they have little or no OIL. this could work out for bush as being the pres. "we might get oil a little cheaper in years to come" and at a personal level as well. i trust he is working on being compensated for some of this UNDER THE TABLE. he thought we would be there for a year or so and be gone, but that didn't happen. so what if we owe trillions, bush nor his family will have to worry about the things we do like social security, medical, dental home car etc. we will take care of them the rest of their lives and with the extra money he will probably make later well hey. he cant seem to help the people here, but can help the rest of the world, look at hurricane Trina, we couldn't help them and still are not helping as much as in the rest of the world today. if any of you were in a flood and 6 people came floating down the river and you could save only three, which three would you save. they were in a line the first person was family, the next 4 were your neighbors and you knew them but the one on the end was your child, you would save for sure the two family members. if you live in America your family, black white pink who cares......everyone else is just a neighbor!

I don't get it, you call your self "peace, love and harmony", yet you only seem content in causing conflict, anger and disharmony.
Could you provide any proof besides personal opinions?
Clinton had raped and pillaged military spending like a drunk girl at a frat party. While Bush has asked for more money to put in to the military. So how is Bush trying to weaken the military? It was the democrats who continue to threaten to cut off funding to the military to keep it armed and equipped. in fact it was little over a month ago that they almost refused to supply the money needed.
Spend us in to bankruptcy? I agree the War is a burden, but do you have any idea how the debt works? The US sells it debt in the form of bonds and in 20 years it has to be paid off with interest. Do you know who buys most of those bonds? The US government.... in other words most of the money we have to pay back is going to be used to pay our selves.
As for the Hitler reference, way off base... the man had become delusional from medication and drug abuse. he him self had no real conception of the amount of damage actually being brought down on his own country and his advisers refused to tell him. In the end he still believed he had entire armies at his command when in reality he had barely any fighting forces at all. NONE of that applies in any way to President Bush despite what liberals scream in the streets.
Perhaps if more far left liberals spent time actualy understanding history rather than picking and choosig how history should have really been, then maybe they could finaly make a refrence to Hitler that makes sense.

You must be too young to recall what a useless appendage Jimmy Carter was as President.
Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid are the trifecta that will bankrupt this country. Just ask your politicians what they did with all that tax money (soon to be trillions).
Your inexperience and lack of knowledge are showing. We have much bigger problems than George Bush, and they have only just begun, and will accelerate shortly.

I think Bush intended to keep nutball Islamo-Fascists busy fighting us overseas rather than attacking us in American shopping malls. Remember the two planes flying into the big buildings that they don't show on TV any more? Also don't forget the airliner that was crashed into the Pentagon and the other one that went down in Somerset County, Pennsylvania when the passengers bravely fought back.

What bush is doin' now is taking over rich countries... to make more money... sometimes you have to spend to gain..
plus...
The American army that is actually in battle now is not even 10% of it's actual force. It's using old technology in order to consume whatever we have taking over other countries instead of throwing it away. This shall also mis lead the other who ever they are to mis judge our actual strength.
There are lots and lots of benifits coming out of this war, but try to see the larger picture

Well it was mostly Rove and Cheney who were the mighty puppet masters here but i think that dubya had a bit of a clue on what he was doing. Rove and Cheney have to much vested in the organizations who are benefiting GREATLY from this war. So, yeah, probably so.

It certainly appears to me that Bush sees the billions and billions of dollars spent on destroying Iraq as much more important than that money being spent on improving things here at home. When you consider the three quarters of a trillion dollars that the US is spending on its war effort, it sure makes their earlier assertion that we don't have enough money to make social security work for retirees look like a bold faced lie. All of these billions of dollars extra are coming out of programs that had that money earmarked for their programs. Can you believe the BS that Bush is full of when he says he is proud of our Veterans sacrifices and that he wants to make sure that they get all of the help that they deserve, and then he goes and cuts the funding for many of the programs that directly help the veterans who have come back from this ugly war?
Hitler left Germany in a state of moral and financial shock when he was finally deposed, and I am quite sure that the next few years are going to leave Americans in the same situation. This stupid President of ours is making enemies with 3/4 of the nations in the world, and it will come back to haunt us that we let him and his administration get away with this. This is just the beginning of the end if we do not turn this country around now. I feel that Bush has reached that point.
