I believe that the power of Satan roams free because we are causing and focusing it to grow.
Yet God is growing faster. You just have to see it through different eyes.

Personally I believe there is such a being but has now more power than that which you give.
Also satan's "Power" over one is an excuse not to take responsibility for ones own actions.
