You probably need to contact your state's Dept. of Children Services.

Be very careful, though. I've heard that once you've given custody to someone, it can be very, very difficult to regain custody.

i think of via fact mom is sixteen and in foster care already that the social centers that handles her case would be in contact with the newborn. The mom could refer to her case worker approximately this and likewise have the guy who needs temp custody touch the case worker. in many circumstances they want the child bypass to a relative formerly strangers. however the different element is, if the mother has all intentions of having this infant back, then residing in yet another state, how does she bond with or advance a relationship with the child.?

you will have to hire an atty. be advised that the courts have ruled it abandonment if they did not come back in a timely manor
