I was raised by poor missionary parents, in even poorer countries. So I saw poverty everyday, and probably know a lot about it.

lets see---lived in abject poverty the entire thirteen years that I was married to my first husband.
I worked,
he wouldn't.
no running water,
no indoor plumbing,
what do you think?

I finally divorced him and it was the best decision that I ever made for myself and my kids. I remarried a good and hard working man, we both worked hard and we have our own home and it's paid for.

I've been stuck in it all my life--I'm online only because of a donated computer mind you--and I'm still stuck in it and still in the struggle in spite of, *in total spite of* my own best efforts.

And yes, I get it that a whole entire continent (most of Africa) has it worse than I do....but you know what?

That doesn't make my despair and frustration any less relevant *for me*, ok? I still busted my tail, worked since I was ten years old, to try to make something of my life. And I ended up a failure anyway....? Huh??

So yeah, maybe you can see where that might mess me up in the head a bit. -_-

Thanks for your time. Good Question!
