I don't know what it is. I love the Beatles, but have always found something a little creepy about them and their music (in the later years, after they grew long hair and started experimenting with their music.) I can't put my finger on exactly what I mean. I guess all the rumours about them being Satanists and putting subliminal messages in their music kind of adds to that for me.

Anyone else getting where I'm coming from?

No man, it was the Stones that were the Satanists, the Beatles just did more acid and like to mess with your head. Think of the irony, all the hints dropped on various albums about Paul being dead, and he will probably be the last Beatle alive. Hmm? Then again, that does sound like a devil pact?

Well, I'm glad you love the Beatles.

No, they weren't creepy. They were brilliant and ground breaking.

Rock and rollers are not satanists. Even the ones that want you to think they are. That is publicity and/or scare tactics - a myth propagated by and for weak minds.

Backward and any other kind of subliminal messaging in rock and roll is also urban legend. Come on, this stuff was silly in the 70's. No one should believe it today.

Drug, fashion and behavioral experimentation is not creepy. When the Beatles did it, they were on the cutting edge (forgive the cliche) and it made them fabulous, not eerie or creepy. The same goes for the Rolling Stones and even Alice Cooper. Not eerie, just rock & roll, ok?

They started experimenting with drugs (particularly John Lennon) in the later years.

yeah! there is a rumor called "paul is dead" where like album cover's (abby road, sgt. peppers) and tours all have clues that lead up to the conlclusion that paul is dead... now, paul mccartney Isnt dead.. but it's still VERY creepy.. look it up...

i know of one subliminal message, during the instrumental of one of there songs, when it's played backwards, it's a guy repeating "paul is a dead man, paul is a dead man)
