I'm a guy with long, healthy, shiny hair to my knees. I have no intentions of ever getting a haircut. One reason is because not too many people out there have hair this long (even girls), and not too many people can actually grow hair this long. I feel like it's almost like a gift. The big question is, should I let it grow on forever? Why or why not?

Go ahead and let it grow. There may be a time you'll want to cut it. I cut mine when it stopped being shiny and healthy. The price you pay for getting older, I guess. I also once heard that your hair has a predetermined length that it can grow. So, go for it and see how long it actually gets! Not everyone can have long hair. Enjoy being unique because there is only one you!

cut it and donate it and then grow it back and keep it but if u dont already have a chick u will have trouble getting 1 with that long of hair.oh and get it trimmed every so often to avoid damage, keep it healthy, help it grow better, faster, and stronger.

well, i have not cut mine for 5 years and it's pretty long. i do not intend to cut it, it took too damn long to grow it out and it will only take a second for it to all be gone and i feel my hair is one of my best features. i say just keep growing it :)

I think that you should make a decision based on what you believe... Not many people can and do grow their hair out... so if that is something that you enjoy and like... By all means keep growing it baba!!!!!!! :-)

Ok, so you feel that it is a gift....Have you ever considered making a gift of it for cancer patients? If as you have implied it is "that" long then your gift would benefit many people who are battling for their lives...What better gift?

i think you should cut your hair because if it is that long, then you could cut it and donate it to cancer patients for a wig, especially if it is healthy
it would be a good cause, they need it so they dont feel alienated, share in your good fortune

It is your hair... do what you want with it. Of course get it trimmed once in a while to keep it healthy.
