I've tried several searches (google, findlaw, etc.)

The judge's name is Jose I. Sandoval and he is a Superior court judge for Los Angeles County, District 125, where Judge Sandoval presides. I'd like to find out how long he's been in office, his age, articles and what offices he held before being elected to this judgeship.

I found an article he wrote in the newsletter of the LA Bar Association about judging over drug cases. That might give you some information.
