I already reserved a 6th floor room, but I want the BEST view. Do you think this will be fine?

Higher the better but the 6th floor is a good floor and you can get a good view of the area.

Just make sure that your 6th floor room has a view from the beach side, not the parking lot side. A room with a balcony would help your view. You are wise to only go to the 6th floor. If something happens to the elevator you dont want to spend most of your time walking the stairs.
If the resort has a web site, I would advise you to go there and see what type of layout their building has. If there is a curvature of the building, beachside, then if you want to view the sunrise get a room on the east side, if you want a view of the sunset get a room on the west side. But then again if you dont want the sun blaring in your window in the morning, then possibly a room on the west or more westardly would be best.
Hope you have lots of fun.
