What causes you to be afraid of the dark night ?

I would fear a dark night only because it brings out the darkness of my own soul which can engulf me and over take my being.
I want to be in charge of my self but give into the darkness to easily.

I'm no longer afraid of the dark but I admit I used to be when i was about 2 years old. E.T the extra terrestrial gave me the creeps, so yeah I was afraid of the dark because of E.T lol

Whenever I hear any kind of noise outside I get freaked out! If I can't see it, I don't know what it is, if I don't know what it is I get scared. What causes you to be afraid of the dark night?

I love the darkness. I am a night person. And even in pitch blackness, I am comfortable.

when i was younger i watched a movie called They that scared the crap outta me. It was about these things that came out of the darkness, marked you when you were young,then ate you when you were older. Since then, i have never been the same about closets.
