Well, first off I feel obligated to correct the person that said Zelda is a warrior guy in a video game. Zelda is the PRINCESS, thank you very much. I've been a video game addict all my life so I think I should know. That being said, I like the name a lot. It's old fashioned, but at the same time really elegant. I think of Zelda Fitzgerald (wife of a famous author back in the '20s).
I'm not really that partial to Zara. I don't really know why.

Zara. The name Zelda is nice but it reminds me of the video game The Legend of Zelda.

I too like the name Zelda better and although the name Zara is quite famous in the U.K. it has not taken off in the U.S. at all.
Zelda does remind me of the old Nintendo game but I think by the time your little one is all grown up there will be no teasing whatsoever about that.
