College students concentrates on particular subjects that are related to their future career or interest. They are at the final stop of their education where the learning environment is highly competitive, interactive and knowledge is essential to gain marks.
Responsibilities- Self motivation is highly required. they are responsible for their own actions. Progress and participation is monitored throughout the duration of the course.
Managing time- part time/full time education to preference. majority of the students work part time for the tuition fees or for the cost of living.
Paying fees- Vary according to programs or different colleges. Scholarships for the selected outstanding students are provided by colleges and companies where education fees is totally free or reduced by percentage.
High school students learn the basics of education in general to give options to consider their field of interest for further education in college.
Responsibilities- Supported by the members of staff and faculties to accomplish the tasks given and somewhat responsible for their actions. The final evaluation of the total marks will be provided to apply for colleges with different levels of entry requirements.
Managing time- Full time education
Paying fees- Free or payment if it's private school.

There is a huge difference, all those reason and many more.
But, what it comes down to is maturity. When you go to high school you HAVE to do it and you have to pass. You care more about having fun than studying. When going to college you have to work very hard to pass, the college WANTS some of its students to fail, if they don't then their rating could go down.
The difference between college and high school is simple. College is a job, your first full time job and the one that determines your entire career path. It is the most important job you will ever have.
It took me a while to get through it and after 8 years in the Army and a whole lot of trying I got my degree. It was only an Associates Degree, but I earned it with honors and it is one of the proudest things I have ever done, because it was the hardest thing I have ever done.

In most colleges, not that much. The average college student is usually a better student than the average high school student. Other than that, welcome to grade 13.At the top school in the country (the school ranked #1 by US News) there is a difference between the student body and a high school student body.

More information given. Faster pace. More responsibilities. Learning about being on your own and finances. You learn how to be thrifty. Instead of having five minutes to walk down the hall you have about 10 minutes to hike across campus to another building. You learn how important oraganization is.
