I want to put a male betta and an african dwarf frog together in a 2.5 gallon tank, but I don't know if I should just put floating betta food in there so they can both eat.?

The frog would do better with food that would sink so it could get to the food easier. They really like frozen blood worms, and the betta would eat these as well. I would continue to offer the betta the pellets as well, since bloodworms (or any single food) doesn't supply all the nutrition that a fish should have. You might also try frozen daphnia or enriched brine shrimp (frozen, not freeze-dried).
