Jodie Foster's character in "Sommersby" when she's on the stand in Court trying to save her "husband" from the noose (the man ISN'T her husband, but she's been living with him like he was and he's about to hang for a crime her REAL husband committed during the Civil War). By exposing the man she's been living with as not being her real husband but an impostor, she's trying to prove that he couldn't have committed the crime. By proving him not to be her real husband, that makes their newborn baby illegitimate - a major "no no" back in the day, so he's trying to prove to the Court that he IS her husband even though he knows he'll hang!! When her "husband" (who's acting as his own attorney) questions her about how she knows that he's not really her husband, and she goes "Because I never...I never...I never loved him the way that I love you!!!!". Kinda lame maybe, but it still gives me the goosebumps to this day!!! If you've never seen this movie, rent it! It's an oldie but goodie as far as an awesome love story goes!!!
