Okay, let me give you anothe one then. Murders and Rapists are born that way, too. Science has found certain chemical differences and brain patters that sets them apart. Should we just let them be that way, too? Or, is it a choice they make to act on those imbalances?

yes, i wholeheartedly believe that homosexuality is just as natural as heterosexuality
no. being gay is not a choice. you are born that way.
and, no, public displays of affection and love don't bother me in the slightest
In regard to your additional details; rapists and murderers hurt and KILL people. What have gay people ever done to you?
there is NO connection whatsoever between rapists/murderers and homosexuals.
what a horrible example.

Natural, yes. Animal studies have revealed homosexuality occurs in other species. Animals can't choose their sexuality.
Invididual choice? Maybe a small percentage of the time. But most of the time it is preprogrammed; like the tendencies of a serial killer. It is not in the hands of the individual to decide what his or her mental composition will be. Genetics (primarily) and environment decide this for us. The concept of the proto-oncogene is the best analogy to apply here. Under some environmental exposures, the proto-oncogene can be activated, and turned into an oncogene, which can cause cancer. But the proto-oncogene does not always necessarily become activated in all people who have that gene. The same applies to gays and serial killers, or any group that has a genetic predisposition to a given behavioral pattern.
Public displays? This is a way for gays to try and force the rest of us to accept their lifestyle as 'normal'. They go over the top with the PDAs. While I have no problem with gays, I do not like it when a group tries to tell me that I should accept something abnormal as being normal. Heterosexuality is normal. Being gay is abnormal. End of discussion. So the parades, excessive PDAs etc. make me lose respect for the gay community more than anything else because they are trying to brainwash the rest of us. You don't see mentally retarded people getting 'Will and Grace' and all other types of shows on TV. Why aren't they or people with missing limbs trying to convince me that they are 'normal?'. I should be seeing a lot more major characters on TV and in the movies that are little people or in wheelchairs. Why don't I? Because gays as a whole have money, represent a big chunk of the entertainment industry and are excellent strategists and lobbyists. The gay community is no different than say, the oil industry, at attempting to control our minds. Perhaps they are far better than any other lobby because most people are not even aware of how powerful their propaganda machine truly is.
2nd topic: If rape or a random, serial killer type murder has been absolutely proven; the accused should be executed. There is no way such a person can ever not be a potential threat to society, given the power of the genetics involved. And keeping them in prison just ensures that prison will never be a place where less insane criminals can ever be rehabilitated. There is no place for them on this earth unfortunately.

I strongly believe that homosexuality is NOT a choice. There have been recent studies where it was shown that a testosterone present in the womb while the fetus is developing may cause homosexuality. (search Making gay rats). Also, if being gay was a choice, I don't understand why ANYBODY would want to choose to be gay because Society does not "accept" it and this makes life much harder for them.
Also if it was a choice then everyone would be able to sit there and think "Well which gender should I choose to like? My own or the opposite? HMM.." Well no one does that, it just happens.
Many people think that they can "just turn gay" if they wanted to, and that's just stupid. You cannot force yourself to love the other sex if you are not attracted to them! Period!! If I am not attracted to say, Harry Potter, I cannot force myself to love him!!!
As for public displays..do you mean like making out and stuff? To tell you the truth I think that making out in public is just rude and I don't like to see any of that--gay or straight. I'll notice that two guys or two girls are holding hands, but it doesn't bother me much.

I think the fact that being homosexual is biological rather than a choice has been clearly established over the last 10 years by the medical/scientific community. Most recently, it was revealed that an over-exposure of certain hormones can "turn" previously straight rats gay. It seems clear for evidence like this study that being gay is biological.
As for PDA--I really don't like PDA from heterosexuals...I just don't think the public is the place for glomming onto your partner. But I understand the social reasons gay people "flaunt their lifestyle" in public and I can respect that. And frankly, I would rather watch gays kiss than straights any day of the week...

It's a good question--or rather good questions. I believe it's 100% completely natural. You fall in love with whoever you were meant to fall in love with. When it gets down to it, it sounds VERY superficial to fall in love with someone because of what they have in their pants. I don't believe it's an individual choice--I've always been attracted to long hair and green eyes. It's not that I chose that, because if I did make a choice I'd fall in love with a rich geek. Public displays of affection are a beautiful thing unless people are all over each other like they need a hotel room--this goes for all people, not just homosexuals. I do notice when people are holding hands and being loving--just because I think it's sweet, regardless of if it's two girls, two guys, a guy and a girl, or a gaggle of people. But I would notice and be bothered, like I said, if I saw people all other each other like they were making a porno. There's just no respect in that--or respect in others--to be so not private about intimacy.

I believe for the vast majority, it is natural. All of my gay male friends knew that they were gay since they were little children, way before they came out. I think gay people being attracted to the same sex comes as naturally as straight people being attracted to the opposite sex.
I think in really rare circumstances, it can be a choice (ie. women who were abused by men become lesbians later in life).
I'm not homosexual, but I live in a neighborhood with a large gay community, so seeing public displays is really normal to me. I don't notice it any more than a straight couple.
However, over the top public displays of affection (like people flat out making out on the street) does bother me - straight or gay.

I honestly do not think people are "born gay" but I'm not so sure it's an actual choice either. I think sometimes people just are naturally attracted to one sex vs the other. I am bi, & I used to act on it but now I'm to the point to where I simply think women are attractive but I don't mess w/ them. I don't mind public displays of gay people or any other people. They are people to & deserve the same rights as straight people. I do not really "notice" anyone doing anything, I usually just go in for whatever I need & leave.

Sometimes, some people do choose to be gay, but I think that some people are also born gay, obviously since we are all born into sin, and homosexuality is considered a sin. I do not like public displays of affection amongst gays, it does not bother me, I do notice it and it is disgusting, but what is done behind closed doors is all up to the individual.

Wow. Everything besides eating, sleeping and breathing is a choice.
I think that people have a rainbow (no gay reference intended) of "settings" on the sexuality scale- naturally.
They can choose to display and act out on those drives or suppress them.
In the same way that monks and nuns decided not to express a sexual interest as a CHOICE- this did not mean that they were not sexual creatures.
I think that there are MANY things sexually that are environmental introduced... but the basic drives are "natural".

Being homosexual is a choice.
Nobody is born homosexual.
Rather they are taught to be homosexual. Whether it is by picking up the traits of other homosexuals, or some other way. It isn't natural. I am a christian, and I was always taught that homosexuality is wrong. I am, however, very open minded and have nothing against gays.
In the Bible, God rained down sulfer on the city of Sodom and Gamora because the city was practicing homosexuality.
Also, there is that saying, "God created Adam and EVE, not Adam and Steve."
Like I said, though. It is by choice. Not by birth.
