I asked this question before, but i messed up the file that it was in. Ok, my antivir found a trojan in c:\windows\browser.exe it gave me a whole bunch of options, so i chose quarantine. its in my quarantine right now, is it safe in there? i would prefer it to be removed but if i remove it will it mess up my computer or any other programs, (such as windows internet explorer, fire fox, ...)

You are safe.

Malware removal is somewhat of an inexact science. Mistakes can happen. False-positive detections happen more often then the anti-malware industry cares to admit.

Needed system files can be mistakenly flagged as malware. Quarantining allows a way to undo any incorrect file deletions, easily.

A file in quarantine is totally safe. It can do no harm.

Personally, I like to quarantine everything for a month or so, then if all is OK, I delete.

Don't worry, once your antivirus program quarantines the virus, the program won't be able to run. If you really want to delete it, I sugget you do a System Restore, which will roll your system back to a date before you ended up with the virus on your computer. Look for a restore date just before the day you caught the virus. Its also a good idea to defrag your harddrive afterwards.

NO remove it right away that Trojan will take your passwords bank info everything quarantine it. and Even then if anything goes wrong you can always download the Internet software again

I always delete the infected file and not quarantined it and there is nothing that will go wrong with my PC. just the same, use system restore most often to "flag" a date in case something goes wrong so you can always go back. :)
