Where I live it's something in between the two ... slow and peaceful like the country, but close enough to the city and all it's amenities.
I'd choose the country over the city. I grew up in a big city, but I prefer the simpler life of the country.

City - because I grew up in more of a city setting. My friends live on a farm like out in the middle of nowhere and everytime I go into the barn I cringe b/c there's cobwebs and other gross things everywhere; and besides, I've never really had a love for animals. I like the city because there's lots of places to go and malls lol. Now, I don't think I would like a place like New York City, but something in between the country and NYC is perfect for me.

Well, I am a little bit country and a little bit rock n roll. I love the privacy and space of the country. I love being able to have lots of animals like horses and cows. Hell, I even like pigs and goats. I like living somewhere where my dog can run around and I don't have to worry whether my kids are going to get hit by a car on a busy highway in front of my house. I just love the country period. However, I don't like being stuck out in the middle of nowhere. I do like to be close enough to the city that it doesn't take me an hour to get to somewhere to go shopping or to the movies. I don't like to feel like I am 100 miles away from civilization!

I'm kind of in between b/c I only live 10 minutes away from the city. It's not very quiet where I am. I definitely would prefer the country, more peaceful and relaxing!!!

City life, by a longshot. There's more to do. In the city, you can go the museum, theatre, art gallery, library or anyplace else. There are colleges. There are lectures, programs, concerts and presentations going on, always something new to discover. There are 24-hour stores and restaurants. You can't get that in the middle of a cow pasture.

Definitely the country life! There is always something fun to do, most likely no smog, No artificial man made entertainment is needed, usually the people talk about things other than TV, You can see and hear and enjoy wild life and other natural things. It is usually quiet and peaceful.
That names a few reasons why.

I grew up in Chicago , now I live in southern IL. Its much better here. No where near the amount of crime. My doors dint have to be locked, neighbors watch out for each other. Traffic is much less here. I also love the outdoors and own 160 acres here for about the same price as a close to down town lot.
