Wow, you spend big on the other areas and then go cheap on the single most important part, terrible setup to be honest. The 8500GTs are absoluletely terrible for gaming, even if you have 2 in SLI. Go with an 8800 either GTS or GTX, it would destroy two 8500GTs. If you need to cut back in other areas to afford that, you have plenty of room. You don't need to run SLI, just get one powerful card, so you can get less expensive motherboard. You don't need a quad core for gaming, a Core 2 Duo will do just fan, so you can cut back in that area. 4GB of RAM is overkill for gaming now, 2GB will be just fine. And, you don't really need to be getting 2 hard drives when they are 500GB each, nor do you really have much of a logical need for 2 DVD burners. Honestly you overspent in almost every single area that you didn't need to, and then underspent on the one area you really should have put the money into.

For the ones video games you fairly are not looking for the very today's and finest hardware. You can normally do excellent with an out-of-the-field Dell or HP that says to be well for gaming and multimedia. Macs are excellent for the whole lot BUT gaming, however I'd persist with a PC for now. You can do somewhat larger in case you'd as an alternative roll your possess (I do). You'll want: case vigor deliver (almost always comes with case) motherboard CPU RAM (>= one million GB for gaming) video card disk force sound card (if you do not like the only constructed into the motherboard) DVD force The mobo is the predominant factor, on the grounds that it is going to assess what different stuff you'll purchase. Look for one from a most important corporation, and certainly get one with a PCI-Express (NOT AGP) port for the pics. You maybe in a position to make use of a case, DVD force, and sound card from an older computer (those do not difference so much), however get a vigor deliver that is higher than what you suppose you can want--underpowered procedures almost always fail. Save cash through no longer getting the quickest CPU, and spend what you shop at the pics card. Get a pics card from Nvidia, or ATI. You can get plenty (and I imply LOTS) of accountable expertise on accessories at Tom's Hardware, under. Newegg is a well position to shop for from. Good success, and feature amusing!

Great, I assume you're getting the q6600 after the price drop?
On the other hand, I wouldn't get the 8500gt. It gets beat by the older radeon x1950 easily, and having dx10 is not a valid argument right now. When dx10 swings around with full games, the 8500 will get destroyed. Even the 8800 series is having trouble with dx10. I'd just get an x1950 pro and wait until nVidia's next dx10 cards come out around November. Then ebay the x1950 :)

Your parts are great except for the Video Card. Why are you even thinking of 8500? You should stick to 8800 since you call it a gaming PC!!!

Jesus christ. I would love to know where you found stuff like that so cheap. Vista Ultimate alone is like 500, and that processor has to be at least another 500 if not more. I mean, hey if you can do it, cheers. But you might want to beef up your power supply, maybe 800W or even 1,000W.
