Proceed no further ... it's for that reason that you'll be unable to get the dryer spinning at the speed of light ... the mass of the dryer approaches infinity, making it impossible to accelerate it further.

On the other hand, if it is not a bran muffin, but a currant scone ... then that is entirely different. I have eaten a few scones that felt (in my stomach) that they already had infinite mass.
