The best you can do is double up...you can wear in the ear plugs with a good Gun Shop shooters muffs on top and you would still be able to hear something....now take a gun and fire it as close to your ears as possible without actually shooting yourself, without some type of protection, and the result is exactly what your looking for....pure deafness.
