This is my favorite part of mathematics - relating it to sports, especially baseball!

This is a binomial probability since it is really the probability that he gets 1 or more hits...

P(1 or more hits)
=1 - P(no hits)
= 1 - (4 choose 0) (.28)^0 (.72)^4
= 0.731

So there is a 73.1% chance that he will get one hit.

Probability he gets a hit in 26 consecutive games is
0.731^26 = 2.896 x 10^-4

Doesn't look like he has much of a chance of breaking DiMaggio's record of 56.
