No. Most American's don't actually care that much. Amending the Constitution is a long and rather difficult process. People will lose interest and go on to other causes before such an amendment could be ratified by enough states.
Plus, honestly such an amendment is "unAmerican." You can't legislate respect. You can't force respect. We have freedom of expression here and the includes expression that is unpopular.
Now I think burning the flag is a stupid form of political protest, but freedom of expression means the freedom to be stupid too.

Why would you want to pass something even the Founding Fathers would oppose? They felt freedom of expression was sacred. Hell, the Constition is DESIGNED by them to protect unpopular speech and expression because that's the first thing crushed by the majority.
They wanted people to have the freedoms that Britain was trying to quell.
You think no one burned a Union Jack back in the day? Before the revolution was won it was STILL technically "their" flag.
And, really, is there some flag burning epidemic going on that no one is aware of?

It is merely a symbol, not a sacred document or religious icon.
