There are two ways to do this.
The easy way -- get a router just a simple Cable/DSL router from Linksys, Dlink, Belkin. They cost around 30-40 new 15-20 used (or less). Once you have that you simply connect the one ethernet cable from the 4100 into the Wide Area/Internet port of the router and connect your other machines to the LAN (local area) ports. Both machines will then be both networked and connected to the internet.

The hard way, add a second ethernet card into the machine that is connected to the modem. Use a crossover ethernet cable to connect the second ethernet card to the second computer. Then enable ICS (internet connection sharing) on the first machine.

Since the cost of a network card, crossover cable, and all the time it will take well exceeds the cost of a router. Just get a router it adds a level of security as well.

You'll need to get a router for your system. The way it will work is your DSL modem and each computer will all connect to the router. The router will act as a gateway, splitting your connection among both PC's.

A home router will share one connection among multiple computers.

Like this rather inexpensive and simple one:

You can also get them with WiFi for your wireless devices for around $50.
