We have been dating for 5 years and she recently said that she needs a break and sometime to her self to figure things out. I am not sure what the definition of a break is... I asked her if that meant we were broken up or if we were just taking time apart but really didn't get a direct anwser. I have tried calling her to see how she is doing but she doesn't anwser or call me back. So what is a break?

Ewww, it sounds like a break alright , a break-up is coming and, she is weaning off the relationship. For her not to give you a direct answer, sounds like she hasn't got enough backbone to tell you she wants to break away. If you haven't heard from her in over a week, I'd leave a message stating that you need to discuss things.

Since she asked for the break but didn't establish the "rules," do as you please. Normally a break is like a break UP, except with a better chance of getting back together. Leave her alone for a week or so, feel free to flirt with other girls or whatever, and let her call you when she's ready. If it's been more than two weeks, call her so you can decide together whether you'll break up permanently or get back together.

I hate to tell you what you already know in your heart but when a woman says she needs a break, she is done but doesn't want to hurt you, make you feel bad, or deal with the confrontation.
Take a deep breath and realize that the grieving process applies to any loss not just death. So first there is denial, then anger, then acceptance. It will be a rough road but you can get through it.
Here is a secret about women: we want what we think we can't have. Don't pursue her. Act like it doesn't matter and you will turn the tables.

space she does not answer means she is exnoring you for ____________ what ever reason she may be seeing a new or just tired you not makeing a will you marrie me question and after 5 years she is tired of waiting . so now she wants space to make her own moves dump you to find some one else or witch way she is going in life

will as bad as it sounds i thank she is bracking up with you. take it from a girl that knows what she is talking about it is better just to leave her alone an if you need anyone to talk to e-mail me an i will chat with you.
