Juvenile to mature corns and kings can be pretty reliably sexed just visually by someone experienced. The male tail remains much thicker below the vent area then the females. The female tail tapers immediately after the vent.

What Thea has said is pretty common but is not always correct, so it's not a sure way of finding out.

As the others have said, if the snake is pretty young, the "popping" method can be used otherwise it's probing.

As mentioned before I would like to point again, both these methods should be done by a professional because if you don't know what you doing you could severely hurt the snake.

depending on the age of the snake, you can have it 'popped', where slight pressure is applied around the cloaca, to invert the organs, if its a male the hemipenes will pop out. although i strongly suggest this be done by an exxperienced herper or vet as it can cause damage to the snake if not done properly. also, like i said the age depends, because this could cause damage to an adult snake.

depending on the snake many of the boas and pythons the males have spur like structures on either side of the cloaca in many cases the male and the female both have them but the males are much larger.
