...being a devoted fans of the films put out and/or distributed by the independent production company called The Asylum, I have been looking forward to seeing the film, "Night of the Dead", especially after seeing the promotional advertisement, which appears to borrow liberally from the zombie genre, and most obviously, the cult horror film, "Re-Animator".
Unfortunately, the release date of the film appears to have been dropped, or delayed, as it has yet to see release, at least here in San Diego (the release date was supposed to have happened last October).
To the best of my knowledge, this seems to be, at least for the time being, a one-of-a-kind movie (despite the horror movies cliches it seems to borrow from), and I'm not aware of any previous movies associated with this one (although, according to www.IMDB.com, there IS a sequel slated for release, before the end of the year).
It is my high hopes to find this film, at the end of the month, at this year's International ComicCon in San Diego; The Asylum had a promotional sales booth in the football-field-sized dealer's room, last year, with many of their great horror film releases and homages (...like "Snakes on a TRAIN").....

Do you mean "Night of the Living Dead?"
If you do watch it, it's pretty freaky.
