well if i called-in a special delivery, i sure would open the door
Pizza and all.

seriously it's always a chance we need to take,
even if true love usually waits patiently outside the door till we open it.
we still wouldnt know till we let it in, get to know, and be a part of us, our home....
it will stay a stranger till we learn to welcome it in our hearts..
letting your guards down doesnt necessarily mean you're unguarded... for if love is the one banging at your door, it simply meant it's urgent for you to open the door. you could have been hiding for a long time...
it's either you let it in.. or it's the right time for you to go out and enjoy Life and love under the sun.
and Have fun!

The metaphor is poetical, but impractical and unreal, as most metaphors usually are.
Love can't move about, bang at doors, nor can it be intentionally capable of doing anything. Love is an emotion we feel when we value something or somebody. When we feel that we value someone new, before we naively give our trust unconditionally, it is best to get to know the person and to let the person know us. There is a point in the relationship when one feels intimacy and trust are in order. That's when both people tell each other they value each other by saying "I love you."

i take a chance.i did that when i fell in love with my now ex-we ended up dating even though we were class mates and then became good friends and then he ended up having a crush on me and vice versa. i think that opening the door to love makes you a better person.when you are in love you compromise, give and take, learn to be patient,to understand as well as to communicate better.for me falling in love was a risk,a chance yet it paid off.it also depends who you fall in love with that makes the whole difference.for example all my ex's and i are on the best terms ever and we hang out not as in a date but a casual get e frapuccino thing if you know what i mean.also love is not overnight and yet my now ex fell in love with me yet it took me months to say the words "I LOVE YOU".i do not run and hide but rather take a chance, with the right person when the time is right.love should not be scary but rather a good experience as you grow, mature and find more about yourself.maybe that is just me since i am a ROMANTIC

Personally, I...
Let down the drawbridge, open up the sky, and part the galaxies to go flying off in all directions, all the while kicking off my shoes and wearing funky underwear, and throwing caution to the wind...
And then watch it all go flushing down the toilet, or flying out the window, or escaping through the doggie-door, because those are the things I forgot to close when love was comin' in...

My door is always open, just takes the right love to walk in, sit down, and hang on.

I do my best to peek out that door, to make sure the girl coming in isn't just trying to sell me something and leave. But if she's for real, then opening the door yet remaining cautious is what I try to do. I usually end up flinging it open and getting myself hurt, but no one's perfect, huh?

I stood at the door, very slowly it opened....the love that entered is true and extremely strong...it was a tale of love at first sight....a tale my husband told me no more than four months ago, a tale of how he felt when we first met.
A few short months ago I felt the power of that love (we were not looking eye to eye) still I felt it; it was coming from my husband it caught me and held me spell bound to the point that my senses were stolen by it. That's the best way I can describe it. When they say love is strong trust what they say; for love is strong.

Love doesn't bang on doors, only salesmen do that and I have no time for door to door salesmen (or women) peddling cheap immitations of love.
Real love has to be grown and nurtured on the vine before you can appreciate it. In the immortal words of Mr Young "Love is a rose but you better not pick it, it only grows when its on the vine..."

Hi Rena,
Love is inside of me.. So, I will open the door, because when you can love unconditionally..my heart/door.. Is never locked... Neither the banging, it represents the beating of my heart.... :)
>>>>
So, I will never hide from : "love" .. The whole world can be a part of it....... if they just accept, it............
>>>>>>>
Thanks, for the question! :)
My regards!
Take care!
