my 1995 325 i has a weird problem after the car sits for a while i put the car in drive to go and for the first minute or so you cant give the car, you give it gas and it dont throttle up. it has no power then all of a sudden it drives like normal the rest of the time till i turn the car off and start again.any help would be great.the asc+t light is on also.thank you,jeremy

How long has it been since you changed out your Auto Transmission Fluid (ATF)?
If your answer is "Huh"? Better get one done before your tranny completely fails on you.

above two are right.
DIY or get to a qualified mechanic.
There are few more things to verify.Check what AFT been used during last servicing.It shud be dextron111.
Next check the cable from the end of accelerator cable end,which goes into the transmission.Thighten this cable by turning 3 turns clockwise on the adjuster.
If this shows no changes.
Drainout the ATF and remove tranny oil pan.u will find a strainer inside.This could be choked. Check it.
If all your efforts fail,then is the torque convertor going bad.

check the transmission fluid level... it may be low.
