It seems that a lot of Harddrives are bigger than they need to be nowadays just so they can jack up the price. I have quite a bit of stuff on my computer and am using only half of my 20GB harddrive.

an intel celeron is a very old cpu, the best for a good price is the core 2 duo that comes in many different speeds and l2 cache sizes.

i have tones of stuff and i use 200GBs of hdd space, so really it depends on what you work with (for me it is large fiels like xbox games, programs, and other stuff)

Depends on what you mean by"today's programs"? If it's just basic internet, home/office type of stuff 2.4 ghz. Celeron will do the trick. It's what it was designed for and is quite dependable. If your into video editing, extreme gaming anything with a lot of graphics I'd recommend something more. As far as the hard drive I'd definitely go for more. I'd recommend no less than 40gb or even 80gb would be better for basic use. If your into video & gaming plan on doubling that easily.

It depends what programs you are using. Most graphical programs such as Autocad or Photoshop might run slower. It really depends on your needs. If you don't use advanced software, you don't need high end computers. That's why gamers are always searching for good hardwares so that they could play the latest games.

a intel celeron is very old and can not run vista, or most if not all games. a 20gb is small, but if it suits u than i guess its not a problem.
