what will be interesting is if any of the christian conservative legal aid societies that function just like the ACLU will pick up this case. That may be part of his motive. He may even be acting as a front for them to see if any attracts any financial support from people like some of the posters here. I wonder if any one of them would have helped Eric Rudolph?
The only thing I and most people want is to not see our tax dollars supporting religion that is all that is needed. Creches on tax payer property paid for or maintained with tax dollars is supporting one religion over another . This black letter law but parochial areas still insist on favoring one religion over another and if someone who disagrees in that area brings it to the attention of the ACLU then the local yokels who thought they had their region all homogenized get sued!!! too bad so sad shoulda read your constitution.
I do not believe we have true seperation of church and state as churches are not taxed if approved

I agree with the final comment:
"The bar exam was a test of whether he knew how to apply domestic relations law, and he refused to answer," she said. "Now he's suing, and I think that makes him a loser."

He's just a misguided goofball. The question was intended to determine his knowledge of the law, not his agreement with it. Since lawyers are required to know the law and his score was too low to pass he doesn't get a law license this time around.
Even if he had a legitimate complaint about the question, what about all of the OTHER questions that he missed?? OR, why didn't he just answer the question properly and then use his law license to try to effect change?

Well, since he is going to be wasting a lot of time on this lawsuit, he probably won't be taking the exam again soon.
But, his high profile nonsense will shine a spotlight on the MA domestic relations law and the continuing opposition to it. As those who have been protesting Roe v Wade for 35 years can tell you, a public relations campaign may be the most powerful weapon available.

Although I believe that this law suit is bogus and shouldn't even be allowed, I question your use of Christian "Conservative". Admittedly, just under 60 percent of the voting Christians are Republicans and that leaves a high percentage that are Democrats. I read the article and it does not mention this person's political affiliation. I happen to know many Dems who are against political correctness and the new 'progressive' movement. :)

Not as silly as the ACLU suing small towns for displaying a Christmas Cresche or Menorah....and that is much more common...

the ACLU is guilty of much worse. are you denying him his right to object to what he feels is unjust? I say more power to him. 1 case will certainly not jam the courts.

Uh, well my guess would be that they don't like the government telling us what is right or wrong. It looks to me like they are trying to weed out christians.
"The question's disguised mechanism to screen applicants according to their political ideology has the discriminatory impact of persecuting and oppressing (Dunne's) sincere religious practices and beliefs protected by the First Amendment. " i agree with that. What is wrong with protecting religeous practices and beliefs? you don't believe in religeous freedom?
WHY DIDN'T THEY TELL US WHAT THE QUESTION WAS SO THAT WE COULD SEE IT FOR OURSELVES? My guess is that if they did, we may see how discrimitory it was.
By the way, i don't think the government should make a law banning gay marriage, either. They shouldn't be able to thell gay people that they are wrong just like they shouldn't tell christians that they are wrong to have their beliefs.
