What difference does it make if the chicken is on a wing or a breast or a thigh??

Right, chicken wings are a good appetizer, but not a main course. The difference is that there isn't enough meat on a wing to make an entree, or at least you'd have to eat a lot of them. They are also hard to eat/messy, so at a sit down dinner, you're better off serving a piece of chicken rather than wings.

That depends on whether or not you want to see your guests faces covered in wing sauce, licking their slimy fingers at your table and asking for napkins every 2 seconds. If you're putting them out as an appetizer, go for it, the ones that don't care will eat them. Don't do it as a dinner though...I think thats too casual and messy.
