i do plan on reselling on ebay. i want to make sure that folks have a clear understanding what the insurance would cost. i did some research, no where so far.

Do you want to insure the iPhone during shipping or insure the iPhone after shipping. If you mean during shipping, contact whatever shipper you intend to use and ask how much it would cost to insure a package valued at whatever you expect the iPhone to sell for. If you wish to insure the iPhone after shipment, contact AT&T (the service provider) for information. My service provider offers insurance for $5.00/month.

Insurance for my Smartphone (Palm Treo) costs $5/month from Sprint. My guess is between $5 and $10 per month for the iPod.
