i went missing for a long time myself on drugs, and sadly drugs are the most important thing in her life...even if you found her, she still would not be "there" as gjkishere said at the top. the old anna is gone. you do not have to give up on her, but she is in one strange world right now...very real, very dangerous, and there is a good chance she won't make it out alive. my father did it to me when i was a child, and it looks like i did the same thing to my son. now that i am back, do you think i am welcome? nope. i really should not be ansewring this question, it is too close to the raw nerves. i am just beginning to deal with my "feelings" again. to her drugs are survival, and if you try to take her away from them, you will have one hell of a fight on your hands...she will fight for her life to stay where she is, and you will fight for her life to save her...you got a tough row to hoe. i don't really know how to pray, but i wish you the best of luck. it has got to be very painful from your end. that is not something she even knows right now. all that matters is one thing....do what you gotta do, but understand that in the end it is up to her. go to ala-non for support.

I am sorry to hear about your friend and her child. I hope that you have contacted the authorities about what is going on in order that they can help you find her.
I do not live in Detroit, so I have not seen her, but will keep you all in my prayers.
Please keep in touch with the authorities multiple times per day so that she has the best chance of being found.
If she is addicted enough to prostitute herself and abandon her child, she is most likely unwilling and unable to face what she has done.
That is not the important thing now, it is important to find her if possible, and get her treatment for her addiction.
Best of luck to all of you.

The old Anna is gone, whether any other Anna comes back is her decision.
If you actually want help trying to find her, repost the question with a photo or two of her...

If she's missing, she needs to be reported as such, to the authorites......Including any and all information available. It seems a daily occurance, that women are missing.
We have a mother of 3 young children in our town that just went missing last week. It seems to never end. But only continues to get worse.
