I'm two days away from 41 weeks and I've had no signs of impending labor (no water breaking, no mucous plug, etc..)

What can I do to help calm my nerves?

The longer this takes the more worried I get. I can barely balance myself, people are harassing me about why I haven't had the baby yet (even my husband), and I'm so exhausted I can barely stay awake half of the time.

In need of some support and ideas please?

Oh boy, you need some pampering. Send someone out to get a few movies and lots of fresh fruits and some flavored water, hopefully without a lot of salt added. Get some carrots, apples, and yogurt, too. Tell them someone else has to do the cooking, dish washing and laundry. Have your husband find a big bowl or bucket that you can soak your feet in while you are watching a movie. Put some bubble bath or baby bath in the bucket, soak for awhile and have your husband get a wash cloth and wash your feet and legs and have in dry them and then rub your feet and legs with lotion for as long as you want. Have someone get and prepare some fresh water and have in wash your back and neck and arms and dry you off and then have him rub your back and arms and hands. Put on a loose gown, put your feet up and watch your movie. Eat some cool fruit and try to get engrossed in your movie. If you can't stay awake, them have a cool/warm shower and lay on the couch or go to bed. If you like to read, have your husband get some magazines or a novel, too. You are done working until the baby comes, which I pray is soon.

If your dr isn't worried, then you shouldn't be either. That being said, having been there myself I can tell you that's easier said than done.

When people ask why you haven't had the baby yet, tell them the baby isn't cooperating--or smile and say that your hospital suite isn't ready.

Being off balance and tired are very normal at this late stage. Get all the rest you can during this time...you'll be thankful for it when labor (finally) starts and the baby comes.

If your dr doesn't object, try taking bubble baths to help you relax. It also helped me to relax in my easy chair (feet up) with candles burning...just make sure your husband (or someone else) is home so you're not falling asleep with an unsupervised open flame burning.

Good luck...baby will come when baby's good and ready.

I hope you see your doctor very soon. I assume he will eventually induce you in to labor.
You have a due date- due date is considered two weeks before that date or two weeks after that date.

You need to change your words into humor. If someone teases you about not having the baby, say something funny back at them like......." I think this baby has no intention of being born:" hahaha

Next, stop the stress. EAt healthy, go for walks. and get lots of sleep. At this point you need a whole bunch of pillows to support you in a comfortable position so that you can rest.
I found that tucking in a pillow and let it support your bellie a bit.really feels good. Being stressed out is not a good way to bring your hchild in to this world. You need lots of peace and rest and good nutrition.

First of all, don't listen to anyone..easier said than doen. Tell your husband that he should be waiting on you hand and foot because of what you're about to go through. Sleep as much as you can, because you won't be sleeping much once the baby is here.

That being said, eat some eggplant parmesean. I heard on TV that it helped people go into labor. When I has a few days overdue with my son, I had some, and my water broke the next morning.

Good luck.

If all is okay..I have not any theory why he would elect to set off..perhaps he is going on trip or does not elect to threat being awakened interior the nighttime. I had a variety of tests at approximately 40 weeks and yet another at 40-one weeks...I introduced at 40 two.

It's your last week for sure. That makes it OK to have Hubby field calls and even tell him not to ask dumb questions. Or you can always be a smarty pants and tell everyone that you were going to wait til next week in the middle of Friday night and start blowing up phones. Try some spicy food and walk your tail off. Get lots of rest and enjoy the next few days of peace and quiet. Good luck!

Everybody doesn't deliver right at 40 weeks. Go ahead and stay home so other people don't upset you. You're probably having weekly checkups now - ask your doc and tell him you're worrying. My periods were always 35 days apart and it screws up the estimated due date calculation. Fear not and get some rest. You will need it SOON.

I don't know about you, but the advice on having sex makes me laugh. I couldn't even physically have had sex my last two months...like I had the desire anyway...
The best you can do is go walking. It sucks...but honestly, labor sucks worst! Try to rest up, you are going to need your strength for the labor process.
I'll tell you what my mom told me when I was overdue...
"No one stays pregnant forever." Thanks Mom...LOL.
