Just wanted to note that the yuonger you are on the pill, the more risk of you not having an option of having your own baby.. Your body has not mature even to have a pill "cleaning" your body.. Also they are soon making a law that if a perosn under 18 comes in to ask for condoms, pills, abortion and all that, it would in consent of a parent

You are still too young for the pill and many drs will not give a prescription for birth control pills (I think this includes Planned Parenthood depending on your State's laws) without permission from parents or a guardian. You would need to call around (preferably asking your pediatrician) to find out what the law is in your State.

But as one of the other posters said because you have now lost your virginity you must have an annual pelvic exam and pap smear done from now on.

But above all else, you really should talk to your mom about this. Yes, it's possible that she could get angry after you tell her but it's better to be honest about it than to end up in a situation where more problems could occur such as with your health.

I'm sorry honey, but I agree with some of the others here.
Having sex is such a big step you've taken. If you are trying to sneak around your parents to get the pill, you are only looking out for one part of your health.
You need to take care of your body, your mind and your life.
Wow! I just started my period at 13 and thought about what sex was like, but never dreamed of actually going through with it until I was much, much older.
It's wonderful that you came here for advice, at least you went somewhere. and I am glad you want to protect against pregnancy but what about sexually transmitted disease? You can get so many diseases that will ruin your health, could ruin your chances of having children and take your life by having unprotected sex (without a condom) even if you are on a birth control pill.

Please talk with a trusted adult, it doesn't necessarily need to be a parent to start with, but someone you know that cares about you and is responsible and tell them what you want to do.
Let them help you make good decisions about what you are doing with your body and what to do about something as important as birth control.

Take care

I did'nt go to my mom at 13 I did go to the local health dept. and talk to a doc.there. As a result at 13 I was having to much fun and remembering to take the pill was a issue, I later became preg.at 15. Something I would strongly suggest, talk to your mom now about where your at in your growing life all she can do is well hug you, lecture you, help you or ground you either way in the long run sharing w/her now is the best thing you can do for yourself...

Why are you girls in such a hurry these days? I lost mine at age 27.
I don't recommend you going on the pill. You're too young, and your body is still developing. Your hormones just started working, and pumping your body already with artificial hormones is not going to do you any good.
You shouldn't even be having sex already. Grow up first.
Good luck!

All you have to do is go to your doctor, ask for pills and tell him to not reveal this to your parents.

Before you do this though, I'd like to add the fact that birth control pills are not 100% effective. You shouldn't make such a big mistake at a young age.

Since you lost your viriginity you need to go in and get a yearly pap/pelvic exam now. You can get the pill from Planned parenthood but you will still have to pay some for it.

You can go to planned parenthood.. But its best to talk to your parents you may be surprised at what they say.. They would like you on the pill more than having you get pregnant.. I still say your to young to be having sex.. You have your whole life ahead to do that... Be a kid... Your going to do it anyway but take it from me its not something that you should be doing at this point in your life...

planned parenthood... although you should not be having sex at your age cuz birth control does not always work and does not protect against desies... and if you have to go for any kind of surgury you have to tell them every pill your on and your mom/dad will be in the room when they ask thoes questions to you... talk it over with your mom i am positive she wont be happy about it but its better then having a baby at 13... your mom will find out sooner or later it happend to my friend and she wishes she would have told her mom first

But sweety, are u sure u don't want to tell your parents,at least ur mother ??? They need to agree on the men u sleep with, bcuz they might use u for sex and say I love u when all they need is sex.

But wait, u're 13??? my god u're too young !!!

do u know that u need to be 16 to have sex. do the right thing and tell your parents, bcuz ur too young to know what's right for u, even if u think u know.
