Celexa is not recommended during pregnancy nor during breast-feeding. Please discuss the medication with your obstetrician. He may decide that the benefit to you is greater than the risk and keep you on it but he will probably take you off of it and, if you need something, prescribe a safe alternative.

DO NOT stop this medication on your own! You need to be weaned from it. A sudden stoppage can lead to severe withdrawal symptoms including severe depression.

Please be sure to notify your obstetrician immediately that you are taking this medication!
