Which has more interesting historical stuff?
France is famous for Paris.
But Germany has many interesting cities like Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Nurnberg, Dresden.

It's my first visit to Europe and I want to experience a taste of old europe.

Toots, it is all old. This is one of the silliest questions I have seen on here yet. France is famous for a lot more than Paris, which has an ancient history in itself. Get a bit of education. Europe also has integrated history, some of it overlaps.

It sounds like you want to go to Germany. So go. What is uninteresting about France?

You could hardly tell, but the opinion does not bother me coming from someone so stupid.

Both countries are amazing. I lived in Nurnberg for about 3 years and gone to almost every big city but I have visited France a few times. In Germany, I got bored very quickly because it was all the same. I think Germany has more castles but France has Versailles and I have traveled A LOT but I havent seen anything as amazing as the palace of Versailles. Its up to you to choose but I would do anything to visit France right now. Germany is great but I would suggest going there for other reason like shopping or food. As weird as this sounds, its much better shopping in Germany than France.

Go to Germany. I have been over both and Germany has a good mix of new and old. The German architecture is more gothic but your pictures will be more interesting. Munich is amazing. I have been over Europe and nothing compares to Munich and you can see so much without walking too far. Also, there is a lot to see in Germany. Not to mention better food! Email me with any other questions and things to see!

Why do you have to choose? Go to both.
It's like visiting Oregon and Washington in terms of distances.
Go see Paris, Provence, Annecy, the Lascaux Caves in France, and Heidelberg, Trier, Koln, Berlin, Dresden in Germany..

If you want Old Europe then you should try Germany. France would be more of a mix of the modern and the old and is very fashion foreward so you may not be seeing alot of "old" stuff.
