Do you get an increased amount of oderless discharge when your pregnant. I know its not regular discharge from ovulating because I had my "period" a week ago. I say "period" because it was very short (3.5 days). I know people are gonna say "take a test blah blah blah" but I have taken numerous tests in the past and I'd like to not waste my money if there is a slim chance this could be it...

I know its not a good way but I have had other symptoms aswell. Including breast soreness, sharp pains in lower abdomen, fatigue, slight nausea. And these are nothing new. It has been going on since before my period.

I found out the day i was due that I was pregnant. For the next 4 weeks, i had an unbelievable amount of discharge and still kept thinking i was getting the period.

You usually get an increased amount of clear discharge when ovulating. If your period was a week ago, this could be it.
What you really need to do is establish when you are ovulating.

You can do this using a basal body thermometer and the sites below will help you determine the significance of what you are seeing.

Increased discharge isn't a sign of pregnancy...nor does it mean your aren't pregnant...there just isn't a strong correlation.

Yes, you can have an increase in discharge when you are pregnant. It is called Leukorrhea. I just did some research on this tonight because I was concerned about the amount of discharge that I had. I am four weeks pregnant and I thought I had started bleeding, but when I went to the bathroom I noticed the leukorrhea. Check my source for more information - it was helpful for me! Good Luck : )

I know that I did get more discharge, I think it's just from the higher hormone levels. I don't think everybody has this though. You really need to take an actual test. Discharge is not a good indicator of pregnancy.

Yes, there is an increase of odorless discharge when you are pregnant, but it usually doesn't get that bad until later on in your pregnancy. I never knew of it appearing so early? Since you're not wanting to waste your money I'd say that your best bet is to wait until your next period is due and if you're late... well then, sorry to say, but it looks like you're going to have to spend some money whether you want to or not...

Many pregnant women do notice in increase in cervical mucus in early pregnancy. It is usually the consistancy of lotion, a lot of it, and white or creamy yellow in color. However, since you just had your period a week ago I really doubt you are pregnant. I would give it a few days and see if the mucus continues, stops, or changes consistancy. BTW, the cheapie tests from the dollar store are just as reliable as the expensive ones. ALL hpt's are regulated by the FDA. Go here for more info-- www.peeonastick.com

Yes, after birth I always got a thick white discharge that often even stained my underwear white. It was to the point where I would get a pad thinking it was my period, just to find more of the white cervical muscus.

Goodluck

I have been pregnant 2 times and that did not happen to me. Every body is different though. Just because it did not happen to me does not mean it won't for you. I will say as you get older and your body changes you will get discharge for numerous reasons and it is all normal.
