Do you think it is wrong for someone to rent a movie and then make a copy of it? Shouldn't they buy the movie? I know someone who goes out and rents movies then makes a copy of it for himself to watch and has a huge library of these movies. He is not selling them, but here's the question: isn't that taking the business away from companies who make money from selling movies? I just don't think it is right to do this. Your comments please

It's actually a copyright infringement, and your friend could be fined and/or sent to jail if some one who cares finds out he's doing it.

Aside from the legal aspect, it's also morally wrong. It would be like someone coming to watch your friend at work for entertainment and then taking part of his paycheck, as well. Does that sound right to you?

I don't necessarily think that it is losing money for the companies.. since most of the people who do that for their personal libraries wouldn't have bought the movies anyway.. but I dislike the practice on principle..
