Are democrats right for the job?

Question

In a speech by Barrack Obama, he talked about how New Orleans was "plagued by poverty, failing schools and high crime and murder rates for far too long before the catastrophic storm even hit."

Does the fact that democrats have run that city for the past 40 years kinda show that democrats really can't run anything? If there was high crime rate and poverty in that city and a democrat was running the show, what does that say about democrats? Obama said it himself that that city was falling apart even before the storm hit.

Hilary has been linked to scandals.

What faith are we supposed to have in these people given the state of the nation.

Lets face it, all candidates from all parties suck.
I would be more inclined to vote for Joe Average just because he can balance his budget, and has a mind of his own and lastly, still believes that you get into public service to serve the public.

There is no difference between the Republicans and Democrats. They both mismanage money, both lie, both serve their own interests, both have sold American Citizenship down the river while favoring ALL immigrants in the process.

The handling of Katrina was a monumental failure of government on all levels, all parties. The focus should be in protecting the historic French Quarter. They should have learned from their mistakes and BUILD in another spot, not rebuild.

Unfortunately there is an upcoming presidential election where the candidates will feed us a diet of whatever we wish to hear in the race to the top.

I agree that the city was falling apart BEFORE the storm (told by a close friend of mine who witness the before and after of the hurricane) But I don't think it really matters about the Parties - Democrat, Republician, Green Party, etc... , it's more of the Candinates that the people vote. There are many scandals going around, I bet even Obama has some stuff in his closet...
