One of them has small circular dents all over his body and head. I have always done a 30% water change biweekly and tested the ph and ammonia...added my aquarium salt. Whats going on? They are in a 55 gallon tank alone with a great filter and air bubbles. They are eating...but starting to not be very active.

That is a condition called hole-in-the-head or HITH. See this link for more info: http://www.fishpalace.org/Disease.html#HITH

It's been linked to a parasite, diet, and poor water quality, but has been treated by medication (mentronidazole, brand name Flagyl). See these links for more on HITH and contributing factors: http://www.worldcichlids.com/diseases/Adamhith.html

my oscar has a hole in it's head i read on some site (i dont remember ware ive read some many health sites for my oscars it seems lik there always getting sick) but heat your tank to about 80 - 82 degrees, add stress coat (the salt is a type of stress coat about a teaspoon per 10 gallons) to the aquarium and you can go to your local walmart and buy a product called melafix and put in recomended ammount.

my brother has a salt water aquarium and he also told me that in one of his books you can treat most all paracites by heating the water fresh or salt water fish try it if it dosent work then theres not much else you can do

GOOD LUCK!!!!
