I am not too good at this but I have posted questions and not gotten any answers also so I feel for you. (One thing about that... try posting on a week day at a busy time of day) You get more answers then. Just re-word your original question monday afternoon at about 4 or 4:30

But to answer the question about invitations. Go stand outside a Movie theater and get ticket stubs from people leaving (be polite) and get the cool ones from movies your friends would like to see and paste them collage (patchwork style) on a sheet. Scan those in and print them in black and white and use that as a background. You know paste some of them upside down and all sorts of ways. Get one old movie or teen magazine and clip out cool items like hair clips or blow dryers, lipstick, sunglasses (all sorts of little gadgets or things, or even junk items that teenageers might know a lot about) These need to be in color. Paste one two or maybe three of them on each invitation (if they are small enough) Then write with one of those Jell pens... hand write the words of the invitation... when, where, etc..... Do not forget the RSVP part and your phone number)
And I really hope someone else answers this that has more expertise in this sort of thing. Good luck ... have a GREAT time at the party. And I sure did not answer this for the points :)

Try this: Use a photo program to draw a diagram of your yard with dashes leading up to your house and a big "X" marks the spot. Choose from one of your fonts and write the particulars in Pirate-talk. Print only one copy. Crumple it, and then photocopy the crumpled invitation onto beige paper.

why don't you fold a paper into fourths and draw something cool on it? maybe print something that looks cool from the internet, paste it on art paper, then cut it about 1/5 apart from the picture. then you can paste it on the invitation so it would look like a pop-up. i did that for presentation in school.

another idea is to make it a little more simple. if you can draw graffiti or know someone who can, ask them to write your name or something on the front of the paper (into fourths). that would also be interesting.
