I would have to say tool. For a rock band they are more musically talented and seem to always win accolades from the likes of guitar world and modern drummer. Maynard is an awesome singer with huge volume tone and stage prescense. Adam Jones is a guitar hero and is always listed within the top 100 of any survey anyone tries to do of top guitarists of any time.

My favorite band is indefinately Brand New. THey're kinda emoish but they are positively lyrical genius. If you ever decide to listen to them you must hear "play crack the sky" it's amazing. Hope this Helps.
