Overall, CSUN isn't considered bad, but they have had some problems over the past decade or so. The biggest one I can think of is the fact that they were so overcrowded for a while that it was almost impossible for people to graduate in less than 6 or 7 years, because they couldn't get into the classes they needed. Then the business school lost (although they recently regained) their accreditation. But I think the biggest reason why schools like CSUN often have people complaining about them is that it seems to be everyone's back-up school, where they went when they couldn't get into, or couldn't afford, the school they really wanted to go to. That tends to make people think a school is less than wonderful.

I never considered it BAD

But I will tell you this much, their Journalism BA program is the SAME as LA Valley's 2 year program

LA Valley's 2 year Cinema program is better than theirs! LA VALLEY has more equipment!

That doesn't make CSUN bad

CSUN is not bad for science. They have a decent astronomy deparment, decent chemistry department. They are good for nursing and allied health field jobs.

I have friends who went there that went on to become lawyers, Vocational Thearpists.

They have two very good Libraries.

It's certainly NOT UCLA
