Well whatever happened to watching TV itself to begin with was a sin?I remember when it first came out no Christian wanted noting to do with it and it was a sin. Christians just like to pick and choose what they like.

No way.
You can watch whatever you want and it is not a sin.
What you are suggesting is the same as saying watching a cop show where someone kills another person is a sin.
Watching Grey's Anatomy, a show whose major plot lines are based on adultery would also be a sin.
Watching ANY show that displays acts that you, your family, or your congregation may find disagreeable is therefore sinful.
My adivce to you is watch whatever the hell you want. If you want to watch the cooking channel and for some reason you feel like touching yourself at the same time, do it. It is not wrong. Watching TV is not a sin. Watching TV is ultimately lame, and it will rot your brain, you will start believing more and more in happy endings, that the good looking guy gets the good looking girl, the fat guy will never win but is a really funny best friend, and other shine-ola like that. That is definitely kooky, but watching it, liking it, and even believing in it is not a sin.
And another thing, being gay is not a lifestyle. A lifestyle implies choice in the matter and I'll tell you this - most gay people, considering all the homophobia out there, the gay bashings, the rediculous anti-gay laws, would not choose to be gay if it were indeed a choice. That is like saying black is a lifestyle. Not a lifestyle. Take it in, let it soak.
Be well.

I don't think it's sinful.
However certain people may have moral issues watching depictions of things they disagree with.
Some people won't watch violence or sex and get upset or write complaints when this stuff is on TV because they see it as inappropriate behavior, the same could be said for homosexual content.
So short answer, no it's not sinful. You may find a moral dilemma in watching it though.

People like you are so funny, back when my Father was a child his parents wouldn't let them watch TV for several YEARS because their preacher told them it was a "sin" to do so.
If you are that hung up on the concept, yeah it might be considered a sin but no more so than any television show implying that two unmarried people have slept together, tv ad's for videotapes and DVDs of half-nude females(girls gone wild), and a majority of other things.
Lighten up.

If I were forced to choose between something like "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and "Will and Grace" I think I would go for "Will and Grace".
There are, IMO, many things worse than depicting a gay lifestyle on TV.
Since it isn't likely I would be forced to choose I can tell you I opt out of both formats. I'll stick to stuff that might teach me something, not shock or nauseate me.

About the same as watching other tv programs where "straight" characters have sexual affairs whilest married, plots to murder another character, have sex out of marriage, do drugs, don't go to church. What is this world coming to?

No sweetheart.
There is nothing wrong with being gay to begin with, let alone watching an tv show about it. It's made to entertain.
