"The Fountain" is really good: Hugh Jackman and Rachael Weisz are in it. It has three stories spanning centuries that are connected. It is about the fountain of youth and a man that tries to cure cancer for his wife. Starts out a little strange, bit it all makes sense later.
Donnie Darko (which most people have heard of) is also one of my favorites.
If you are into really weird movies, then "Tideland" by Terry Gilliam is worth watching as well. It's about a kind of crazy girl whose parents die and is left on her own in the country with some really bizarre neighbors. Haha, very strange.

this movie is contoversial to some, considering the mature and dark themes, but i believe Little Miss Sunshine is a movie with a great moral an it is worth seeing
