Yes. I'm not Australian so it would take a conscious effort on my part to elide my Gs. Saying "good" bye or "good" day is easy enough, but g'bye or g'day wouldn't come naturally.

Yes, Saying good bye to family or good friends because you are moving away is difficult for me. You have to re establish your self someplace else.
Its even hard saying good-bye because you have to say good-bye like in a bad relationship. You tend to think of the good times and why you were with this person to begin with.

My Sweetie and I go through this every morning.
